JUIN Tech M1 disc brake set for MTB & E-Bike

The JUIN Tech M1 is a hydraulic disc brake operated by the brake cable. The M1 is based on the R1 system and has been optimized for use in MTB. The M1 is ideal for users who want to convert their mountain bikes from rim brakes (V-brakes) to disc brakes using the existing V-brake lever.

The hybrid brake (mechanical-hydraulic system) works with a 2-piston brake caliper as a closed hydraulic mineral oil system. This allows the rider to use their normal V-brakes or flat bar levers on a bike with disc brake mounts without the expense of a fully hydraulic braking system.

The braking power is increased compared to a mechanical disc brake / rim brake and is on the level of a purely hydraulic disc brake. The brake pads and cables can be easily adjusted using adjusting screws on the brake caliper.

In contrast to one-sided actuation of a mechanical brake, both pistons of the M1 are pressed against the brake disc.

At the same time, the JUIN Tech M1 offers considerable weight savings with a weight of around 142 grams per brake caliper.
